Admissions

Registering for services-to-be-rendered is a mandatory procedure that enables our staff to learn more about you before any type of treatment is administered.

Depending on the type of services you are having, our Preservices team may complete your pre-registration over the phone — either while scheduling you for an outpatient diagnostic appointment or prior to your scheduled surgery. Using the Tanner MyChart patient portal makes the overall pre-registration process even more efficient, so we encourage you to sign up for the portal if you haven't already done so. You also may register on the day of your visit  for certain services. On-site registration takes place in our Admissions departments, which are located in all Tanner Health System facilities.

To contact Tanner Central Scheduling, call 770-836-9721.

Admissions policy

It is the policy of Tanner Health System to admit and treat all persons without regard to race, color, national origin, religious creed, veteran status, handicap or age. Admission requirements and assignments of hospital facilities are the same for all persons. Hospital facilities are available to all patients and visitors. Patient room assignments are made based on your medical diagnosis or your physician’s preference.

How Your Period Can Reveal Your Health Story
How Your Period Can Reveal Your Health Story

At Tanner Women’s Care, serving women throughout west Georgia and east Alabama with locations in Carrollton, Villa Rica and Wedowee, we hear common questions like, “Is my period normal? How often should it occur? When should I worry about irregular periods?” These concerns are valid and deserve clear answers close to home. Typically, a healthy menstrual cycle occurs every 21 to 35 days, lasts from three to seven days, and is accompanied by a flow that doesn’t interfere with daily life. But “normal” can vary — what truly matters is knowing your own rhythm and noticing when things change.
