MyChart FAQ

A patient portal is a secure, encrypted website that provides you with convenient, 24-hour access to routine activities such as scheduling appointments, messaging healthcare providers, requesting prescription refills, viewing test results, paying bills and accessing educational materials.

What happened to myTanner portal?

Tanner MyChart is our new patient portal and replaces myTanner. We’ve made a good thing even better with much more functionality. For details on accessing information on patient visits, results, and other healthcare records, please reach out to the Tanner Health Information Management Help Desk Support at 770-812-6875 or emailing support@tannermychart.org.

Is there a fee for joining or using Tanner MyChart?

Tanner MyChart is a free service, offered as a convenience and courtesy by Tanner Health System to patients who receive care from Tanner providers.

How do I sign up for Tanner MyChart?

Existing Tanner Medical Group patients will be invited to sign-up for MyChart during your next Tanner Medical Group doctor’s visit. You will receive a special code. Once you have the code, sign-up for your new account here at TannerMyChart.org by creating your username, password and entering your code.

If you don’t have an upcoming appointment, you can still sign-up for MyChart now by clicking on TannerMyChart.org and completing information to confirm your identity.

If you’re not a current Tanner Medical Group patient, you will receive an invitation at your first appointment.

Do I have to have an e-mail account to use the patient portal?

A valid, current, personal e-mail address is recommended to ensure effective and efficient communication — especially if you need a username or password reset.

Where do I turn for help with my Tanner MyChart account?

Assistance is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET, by calling 770-812-6875 or emailing support@tannermychart.org.

What if I forget my password?

Don’t worry. It’s easy to reset your password safely and securely online by following the instructions on the Tanner MyChart portal.

How is my information protected?

Your health information is protected by state and federal laws. Additionally, we take great care to ensure your health information is kept private and secure. Tanner Health System utilizes the latest encryption technology to protect and keep your health records safe. Access to information in the Tanner MyChart patient portal is controlled through secure access codes, personal IDs and passwords. You control your password, and your account cannot be accessed without that password. Finally, your electronic health records and physician messaging are only available while you are securely logged into the Tanner MyChart patient portal.

If I send a message, is it securely delivered to my Tanner Medical Group provider’s office?

Yes, the message that is sent is secure, but it should not be used for an emergency; it is a secure and encrypted message to your Tanner Medical Group provider’s office. Please note, messaging is not available directly with the hospital.

How Your Period Can Reveal Your Health Story

At Tanner Women’s Care, serving women throughout west Georgia and east Alabama with locations in Carrollton, Villa Rica and Wedowee, we hear common questions like, “Is my period normal? How often should it occur? When should I worry about irregular periods?” These concerns are valid and deserve clear answers close to home. Typically, a healthy menstrual cycle occurs every 21 to 35 days, lasts from three to seven days, and is accompanied by a flow that doesn’t interfere with daily life. But “normal” can vary — what truly matters is knowing your own rhythm and noticing when things change.
