Child and Adolescent Mental Health

When our children hurt, we hurt —and we want to help. When the hurt stems from mental health needs such as depression or anxiety, bullying, trauma and others, you may not have the knowledge or skills to help them feel and get better.

But we do.

Willowbrooke at Tanner has psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists and other mental health professionals on staff who specialize in treating children and adolescents and helping them get back to embracing and enjoying life. We use evidence-based therapies and trauma-informed therapies, as well as special therapies such as animal-assisted, equine and expressive therapy.

Child and adolescent treatment programs

We also have a wide range of treatment programs designed specifically for children and adolescents, including:

  • Inpatient care, available in Villa Rica
    • Dedicated 20-bed adolescent unit (ages 12-17)
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), available in Carrollton and Villa Rica for age 4 and up
  • Tanner Intensive Family Intervention Program, offering intensive in-home counseling with a team of therapists, available in Carroll, Douglas, Haralson, Heard and Paulding counties.
