University of West Georgia Programs

At Tanner, we understand that the future of healthcare delivery relies on the success of our next generation of care providers. That is why we are so proud of our partnership with the University of West Georgia, which include collaborative initiatives to ensure that quality health and wellness care is available — both today and in the future.

Through the preceptorship, senior nursing students spend time out in their communities to help increase knowledge and gain hands-on skills beyond the classroom and clinic.

This initiative prepares students to take on professional roles in hospitals, schools, fitness centers and many other community health facilities.

Supporting Quality Education

Tanner Health System and the University of West Georgia completed work on a 14,500-square-foot, $4 million student health center that is supporting student access to primary and behavioral health care, wellness education and more.
