Greater access to specialized obstetric and gynecological care is coming to the region as Shatia Edwards, DO, joins Carrollton Obstetrics & Gynecology, LLC, and the medical staff of Tanner Health System.
She earned her doctorate in osteopathic medicine, as well as a master’s in biomedical science, at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwannee, Georgia, completing her internship at Danville Regional Medical Center in Danville, Virginia, and her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, Michigan.
Dr. Edwards offers experienced obstetrics care and maternity services through The Maternity Center at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, as well as gynecologic care for women of all ages.
At Carrollton Obstetrics & Gynecology, she joins the patient care team of Christopher Jewell, MD; Daniel Nelson, MD; and Kristy Nix, MD.
