Diabetes 101 – Roanoke, AL

This class will be held in the meeting room at the Annie L. Awbrey Public Library, 736 College Street, Roanoke, AL 36274.   

Brought to you by Tanner’s Get Healthy, Live Well, Diabetes 101 is a one-hour introduction to type 2 diabetes, discussing the risks of the disease, what causes it, how to prevent it and effective strategies in managing it.

Led by a certified diabetes educator, Diabetes 101 goes beyond what you can learn in a physician’s exam room to provide you with the insight and understanding you need to make meaningful changes in your health to reduce your risk of the disease or, if you have diabetes, to manage it in a way that reduces your risk for life-threatening complications.
