Do you wish you didn't have to worry about avoiding sweets due to your blood sugar?

Well, we aren't avoiding our cravings today!

I'm going to show you three ways to cure your sweet tooth, manage your blood sugar and cure your sweet tooth.

Sugar-free alternatives

There are so many sugar-free options.

Nowadays, every dessert can be made sugar-free. For times when you're in a rush, try some of our favorite ready-made options:

  • Sugar-free chocolate pudding
  • Fat Snax Sugar-free Cookies
  • Diabetic Kitchen Cupcake Mix (our personal favorite is chocolate)

Sugar alternatives in recipes

If sugar-free isn't doable, try opting for a sugar alternative in your recipes.

Here is a list of natural sweeteners that won't impact your blood sugar:

  • Stevia
  • Monk fruit
  • Erythritol

These alternatives will give you the taste you're looking for without the consequences. They are available at virtually any grocery store.

Portion control

A good way to manage your blood sugar levels is to try some good, old-fashioned portion control. Balanced with a healthy diet, consuming smaller portions of carbs and sweets can be a good way to manage your blood sugar.

Here are some ideas to help you nail portion control:

  • Share your sweet treat with a friend
  • Try to be mindful when eating
  • Purchase or make bite-sized treats

Now that we've gone through some methods to control your blood sugar while curing that craving, we can finish on a sweet note!
