New App Feature Gets You Through the Waiting Room Faster at Tanner Urgent Care

Users of Tanner’s MyChart app now have an easy way to spend less time in the waiting room when they come to one of the health system’s three Tanner Urgent Care locations for treatment.

With “On My Way,” patients can log into their Tanner MyChart app, pull up the menu and choose “Find Care Now.” The app will give them the option of choosing a Tanner Urgent Care location — either Carrollton, Villa Rica or Bremen — and “reserve” their spot.

The app will ask some general questions on the reason for their visit and the time they expect to arrive, then will enter them into Tanner Urgent Care’s scheduling system even before they check in at the counter.

The process means patients can spend less time sitting in the waiting room since the spot is reserved.

The health system did a “soft launch” of the feature among its staff several weeks ago and now is making the option available for the rest of its patients.

Tanner Urgent Care offers medical care on a walk-in basis for a wide range of issues, from fevers and stomach bugs to sprains, lacerations, urinary tract infections and more. The service has hours on weekdays, evenings and weekends, making it easy to get care on each patient’s schedule.

Along with “On My Way,” Tanner MyChart integrates with the health system’s Epic health record system. With MyChart, patients can pay a bill, see test results and more. Links to download the app and more information can be found at tanner.org/MyChart
