Get Healthy, Live Well

Diabetes Nutrition Counseling

Knowing how to control diabetes reduces your risk for other chronic diseases, illnesses and diabetes-related complications.

One of the most challenging parts of living with diabetes is the dietary changes the disease requires. One-on-one counseling with a registered dietitian helps you make moderate changes that will have a positive impact on your health.

Dietitian services at Tanner can help you live well with:
  • Prediabetes
  • Type 1 diabetes
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Gestational diabetes

Ready to defeat diabetes, but don’t know where to start?

Get Healthy, Live Well’s classes and programs get you on the right track and keep you there.

Meeting one-on-one with a registered dietitian and nurse educator to discuss nutrition and diabetes management is an important step. This outpatient counseling is often covered by insurance, as well as Medicare and Medicaid.

A physician referral is often required for insurance reimbursement. Ask your primary care physician for a referral to Get Healthy, Live Well.

A referral coordinator will connect you with a program that works for your schedule. Make your health a priority today and call 770-812-5954 for more information.
