Tummy Tuck

If you’ve dieted, exercised and done what seems like a bazillion sit-ups and crunches — but your waist still doesn’t have the lean, flat and sculpted look you want — you’re not alone.

Many people have stubborn pockets of abdominal fat that result in a “pooch” or “muffin top” that just won’t go away.

Whether you have stubborn belly fat or you’ve had a significant weight loss and now have sagging abdominal skin, Dr. Stephen Kahler has the answer: a tummy tuck — or abdominoplasty — procedure.

What is a tummy tuck?

Tummy tuck surgery removes your excess abdominal fat and skin, eliminating any bulges. It also restores weakened or separated muscles, creating a smoother, firmer and more pleasing waistline.

Please note that a tummy tuck is not a substitute for weight loss. Anyone planning a substantial weight loss or considering additional pregnancies should postpone a tummy tuck.

Also, a tummy tuck will not correct stretch marks, though some may be removed along with excess skin.

How much does a tummy tuck cost?

Abdominoplasty is a cosmetic procedure and is not covered by insurance.

Fee quotes are given at the time of consultation and range from $6,000 to $8,800 (depending on what additional procedures may be required). This includes the physician charge, facility fee, anesthesia fee, pre-operative visit, post-operative visits for up to three months, dressings and garments.
