Higgins General Hospital in Bremen has again been recognized for consistently providing exceptional patient experience.
Press Ganey, one of the nation’s leading experts on patient experience in health care, presented the facility with its
2019 Pinnacle of Excellence Award for patient experience. No other hospital in Georgia earned the award for 2019.
The Pinnacle of Excellence Award is presented to hospitals that maintain consistently high levels of excellence in patient experience for three consecutive years.
This marks the fifth year in a row that Higgins General Hospital
has earned the honor.
“Excellent patient care isn’t just about clinical outcomes — it’s also about making sure patients are treated with kindness, dignity and respect,” said Jerry Morris, administrator for Higgins General Hospital and Tanner Medical Center/East Alabama. “That this award reflects three years of data — and that this is the fifth time we’ve earned it — speaks to how ingrained great care is at our hospital. It’s not the product of some recent customer service initiative; it’s hardwired. We go above and beyond with purpose.”
The award was presented after three years of rigorous performance reviews of the hospital. It is based on a range of patient experience data and performance indicators, including patient satisfaction scores from patient surveys.
Press Ganey is an independent firm that provides performance analytics and strategic advisory solutions to more than 22,000 healthcare organizations, and the organization partners with hospitals and healthcare facilities to measure and provide insights to improving the quality of patient care.
