Higgins General Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Bremen, Georgia, serving the residents of Haralson, Polk and Carroll counties and beyond.
Since Higgins General Hospital became affiliated with Tanner Health System in 1998, Tanner has invested substantially in the facility, turning it into a modern, award-winning destination for care. In 2018, Tanner opened a new state-of-the-art surgical care center, offering outpatient surgical care utilizing the latest minimally invasive techniques.
In the event of an emergency, the hospital's 24-hour emergency department — staffed with board-certified emergency medicine physicians — is ready to handle a wide range of emergencies, including strokes. Higgins General Hospital is also certified as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital.
