Devin Smith, MD, has joined Carrollton Surgical Group as an acute care surgeon serving patients in Carrollton.
Dr. Smith earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, and completed a residency in general surgery at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Before medical school, Dr. Smith attended North Georgia College & State University — now University of North Georgia — on a full Army ROTC scholarship, earning his undergraduate degree and being commissioned as a Medical Service Corps Officer in the United States Army. He and his wife, Melinda, currently reside in Roopville, Georgia.
At Carrollton Surgical Group, Dr. Smith joins Tyler Harvell, MD, to provide emergency department and inpatient general surgery procedures at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton. At Carrollton Surgical Group, he joins the surgical care team of Brian Barden, MD, FACS; Jose E.
