What otolaryngology treats

Otolaryngology — also called ENT — focuses on diagnosing and treating problems of the ear, nose, throat and head and neck. Our specialists provide solutions for all ages, including pediatric otolaryngology with an ENT pediatric specialist on your side.

If you notice persistent ear pain or hearing changes, ongoing nasal blockage and pressure, hoarseness that lasts more than two weeks, frequent sore throats, dizziness or signs of sleep apnea like loud snoring and daytime fatigue, we offer both otolaryngology and pediatric otolaryngology to meet your family’s needs.

Your first visit

We start by listening. Your clinician reviews your medical history and symptoms, performs a focused exam and may recommend testing to pinpoint the cause. Together, we build a plan that fits your life.

  • Complete audiology testing for hearing and middle ear function
  • Flexible or rigid endoscopy to see the nasal passages, sinuses and voice box
  • Balance testing for dizziness and vertigo
  • Coordination of imaging, including CT or MRI, when needed

Finding an ENT at Tanner is simple. Check the provider tab to explore clinician profiles, specialties and locations — including dedicated pediatric otolaryngology services — and schedule by phone.

Bring these items to your visit or procedure:

  • A current list of medications and allergies

  • Prior imaging or test results

  • A summary of your symptoms, including duration and triggers

We offer easy-to-understand education and FAQs on what to expect during endoscopy, recovery timelines for common surgeries and practical self-care tips for sinus and allergy symptoms. Need an ent pediatric specialist? We’re ready to help your child feel better, fast.

Ongoing support

Care doesn’t end after your appointment. We provide speech and swallow therapy, hearing aid evaluations and fittings, and structured follow-up for surgical recovery and chronic conditions. Tanner Health’s otolaryngology experts are here every step of the way.
