About Turner

Turner graduated with a bachelor's in nursing from the University of West Georgia. She has worked for Tanner Health System since 2001. During her first 14 years, she worked on the pediatric unit at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, moving into her current role as employee health nurse for the system in 2016. She now works closely with numerous teams at Tanner to ensure that the system's employees and medical staff meet all state and federal requirements for healthcare workers. This involves collaboration with many agencies, including DPH, CDC, OSHA and TJC. She and her husband have two sons, 15 and 8, who attend Carrollton City Schools. Tami and her husband love to spend time with family and can be found on a baseball field most weekends, cheering on their oldest and his friends.
