About This Event

Varicose veins and insufficient blood flow in the legs can affect mobility and put a cramp in anyone’s style. Fortunately, both peripheral artery disease (PAD) and varicose veins can be successfully treated, but it’s important to get screened and seek treatment before they worsen.

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a progressive disorder of the blood vessels outside of your heart, resulting in not enough blood flow to your extremities.

PAD symptoms include:

  • Painful leg cramps that occur with exercise and are relieved by rest
  • Changes in the skin or hair loss on your legs and/or feet
  • Wounds that won't heal on feet/legs
  • Weak pulses in your legs and feet
  • Pain (such as aching or burning) in your toes while lying flat
  • Paleness in your legs when elevated
  • Thickened, opaque toenails
  • Numbness, weakness and heaviness in your feet or leg muscles

PAD screenings provided by:
Thomas “Rett” Reeve IV, MD, with Tanner Vascular Surgery

Registration is required for this free PAD screening. Masks and social distancing required.
