Webinar Overview
During this webinar, clinician attendees (i.e., licensed professional counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists) will learn there is a high prevalence of secular LGBTQIA and transgender clients who are exploring their identity and trying to reconcile their potential previous belief systems, as well as the belief systems of their parents, community and nation. Many clients have been raised within a religious framework and can feel distanced from those beliefs, which can affect their gender affirmation or feelings as part of the LGBTQIA community. Seminar attendees will discuss working with secular and religious clients and break barriers of their own bias in the therapy room.
