If you’ve had COVID-19, your blood may help someone else survive it!

Plasma from COVID-19 antibody-positive blood donations can help coronavirus patients in need. If you are fully recovered from COVID-19 and have been symptom-free for at least 14 days, consider scheduling a blood donation through the American Red Cross on Nov. 6 at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton.

Your blood donation will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies. If your antibody test result is positive, the plasma from your donation may be processed into a convalescent plasma, helping others battling the virus.

To participate, simply go to tanner.org/plasma, then select a time slot between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for a regular blood donation on Friday, Nov. 6. You’ll be prompted to sign in or create an account with the American Red Cross to reserve your time slot.

All donors must have a temperature check prior to entering, wear a face mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Should the Nov. 6 date not work for you, please choose any other available dates at the link above.
