Neuromodulator Injection Therapy (Botox and Dysport)

Considering an anti-wrinkle neuromodulator injectable such as BOTOX® or Dysport®?

BOTOX is a therapeutic muscle-relaxing agent that is injected into the targeted muscles to block the action of the muscle. This markedly reduces the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. BOTOX has been approved by the FDA as an anti-wrinkle treatment and is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles along the forehead, above the cheeks around the outside of the eyes (crow’s feet) and between the eyebrows (glabellar).

Dysport is also FDA approved. Both achieve similar results and have additional off-label uses.

Neuromodulators such as BOTOX and Dysport usually last from three to nine months depending on the application site.

No allergy testing is required; consultation and treatment can be performed the same day. Most patients return to normal activities the same day with only slight redness in the treated areas.

These are common — and completely normal — questions. The good news is that a Pap smear test is quick, simple and one of the most effective ways to prevent cervical cancer. Let’s walk through everything you need to know so you feel calm, informed and ready for your appointment.
