Tanner COVID-19 Updates

As both the delta and omicron variants of COVID-19 run their course in our region, the number of cases and hospitalizations have decreased significantly.

Our last update to this page is Wednesday, March 9. If needed, we’ll resume updates.

We hope our efforts have demonstrated the importance of vaccination, masking, social distancing and other efforts in reducing severe illness, hospitalization and death from COVID-19. If you’ve not taken your shot to crush COVID, visit to find a vaccine location near you.

If you're looking for specific activity on a statewide basis, the Georgia Department of Public Health and Alabama Department of Public Health are sharing current information. National figures are available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and global information is available from the World Health Organization (WHO).

We’re providing these figures as a public service because we believe in transparency and providing our neighbors with the information they need.

It’s vital that we continue to do all we can to limit the spread of the virus. Continue to practice hand hygiene, wear a mask, avoid group gatherings and follow the CDC and WHO for the latest information on COVID-19. Together, we make this a safer community for our friends and loved ones.
