COVID-19 Information

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Tanner has worked to keep our team members, patients and community safe and healthy. The U.S. COVID-19 vaccination mandate was announced Nov. 4, 2021 — including the requirement that healthcare workers be fully vaccinated by Jan. 4, 2022, for all healthcare providers that receive Medicare or Medicaid funding.

A federal judge issued a preliminary injunction on Tuesday, Nov. 30, to stop the vaccine requirement's implementation and enforcement. As a result of the injunction, we are presently halting the COVID-19 vaccine mandate process for all team members as of Dec. 1, 2021, pending the outcome of this legal challenge.

Please note that there is still the possibility that it will go into effect at some point in the future. The injunction gives us time to prepare in the event it does move forward and allows our team members the time for thoughtful consideration of their vaccine status. Vaccination is still encouraged by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect our community.
