Tanner Center for Behavioral Health

The Tanner Center for Behavioral Health provides comprehensive outpatient counseling and therapy for adults, adolescents and children who are leaving inpatient care, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs. The center also offers services for children and adolescents who need intensive family intervention.

Our counselors and specialists treat individuals experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including:

  • Severe mood swings
  • Substance abuse

The outpatient counseling services available at the Tanner Center for Behavioral Health include:

  • Intensive family intervention
  • Full behavioral health assessments, including diagnostic impression
  • Individual, group and family therapy
  • Multi-family group and family therapy
  • Medication education, evaluation and ongoing monitoring
  • Nursing assessments
  • Nutritional assessments
  • Treatment and safety planning

Covering your care

The Tanner Center for Behavioral Health serves patients covered by Medicaid care management organizations (CMOs), Medicare and other insurance providers.

As an outpatient counseling service of Willowbrooke at Tanner, the Tanner Center for Behavioral Health is approved by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities to provide core services for children and adolescents ages 4 to 17, as well as adults. In accordance with state law, core services are subject to a sliding fee schedule that is based on each family’s ability to pay.
