West Georgia Chapter of The Links, Incorporated hosts ‘COVID 19 Series: Real Talk About Vaccine Perceptions’



The West Georgia Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, will host “The COVID 19 Series: Real Talk About Vaccine Perceptions,” a free webinar on Thursday, April 8, from 7 to 8:15 p.m.

The webinar will be streamed live on the group’s public Facebook page. Registration is free and open to the public at https://westgeorgialinks.eventbrite.com.

The webinar will provide education about the community's vaccine perceptions. The webinar is the first part of a Health and Human Services series that will educate the community on remaining safe and healthy in a COVID-19 environment.

Webinar speakers will include Marshalyn Yeargin Allsopp, MD, with the National Coronavirus Task Force for The Links, Incorporated; Tunicia Giron, MD, MBA, chair of anesthesiology and chief of surgery at Tanner Health System; Gregory Floyd, MD, with Professional Park Medical Services; Janet Memark, MD, public health director with the Cobb & Douglas Public Health; and Jasmin Turner Brown, PharmD, a pharmacist with Emory Healthcare.

The Links, Incorporated, is an international, not-for-profit corporation established in 1946. The membership consists of more than 16,000 professional women of African descent in 292 chapters in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

Links members contribute more than 1 million documented hours of community service annually — strengthening their communities and enhancing the nation. The programming of The Links, Incorporated has five facets, including Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services and Health and Human Services.
