Watcoun-Nchinda E. Pisoh, MD, Joins West Georgia Gastroenterology



Gastroenterology specialist Watcoun-Nchinda E. Pisoh, MD, is joining West Georgia Gastroenterology
Associates and the patient care team at Tanner Health System.

Watcoun-Nchinda Pisoh, MDDr. Pisoh earned his medical degree from the University of Benin School of Medicine in Benin City, Nigeria.

He completed his residency in internal medicine at Southern Illinois University (SIU) in Springfield, Illinois,
and a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

Dr. Pisoh served as chief of residents and clinical instructor of internal medicine at SIU. He was also a
clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Illinois, where he was chief fellow for the
gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition program. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of
Internal Medicine with dual board certifications in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr. Pisoh specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology, with special interests in inflammatory bowel
disease, esophageal disorders, gastrointestinal cancer prevention, interventional endoscopy and fatty liver
disease.

At West Georgia Gastroenterology Associates, Dr. Pisoh joins the patient care team of John Arledge, MD; Thelma Wiley-Lucas, MD; Prashant Sharma, MD; and Peter Ojuro, DO.
