Tanner Foundation’s Magnolia Ball Postponed

Tanner Foundation’s 30th Annual Magnolia Ball scheduled for April 25, 2020, will be postponed to April 24, 2021, as a preventive measure against the novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).

Following CDC guidelines to reconsider gatherings that include more than 50 people, the Tanner Foundation Board of Trustees — in coordination with Tanner Health System leadership — decided to postpone the final Magnolia Ball.Tanner Foundation logo

“The Magnolia Ball has always been centered on supporting community health, so we are making it our highest priority to make sure those who planned to attend the Magnolia Ball are putting their health first,” said Susan Fleck, chair of the Tanner Foundation Board of Trustees.

While the current risk of COVID-19 to the general public remains low, the move coincides with Tanner Health System’s implementation of more stringent visitor policies to keep patients, visitors and employees safe, as well as Get Healthy, Live Well postponing all planned classes and events through at least March 30. Additional information can be found at tanner.org.

“As a community hospital system, it’s our primary goal to protect the health and safety of our patients, employees and community,” said Loy Howard, president and CEO of Tanner. “These restrictions will ensure we are able to continue that mission.”
