How Much Do You Know About Colorectal Cancer?

Of cancers affecting both men and women, colorectal cancer (or cancer of the colon and rectum) is the second leading cancer killer in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

However, it doesn't have to be.

The best way to reduce your risk of colorectal cancer is to get screened regularly beginning at age 45. And there's no better time to make an appointment for a colonoscopy than during March, which is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

To assess your risk, take the Colorectal Cancer Risk Assessment in Tanner's Health Library.
