Providing Behavioral Health Services for Children and Adults

Care for Adults
The first step toward healing and recovery begins with seeking help.

West Georgia Behavioral Health provides assessment and treatment services for adults with a wide range of emotional, behavioral health and substance abuse problems. The staff at West Georgia Behavioral Health are specially trained to help adults find their way back to a healthy life through a variety of therapeutic services.

Care for Children and Adolescents
Children and adolescents often go through difficult times growing up – situations that can cause them to feel out of control. At West Georgia Behavioral Health, our goal is to offer services and guidance for children, teens and families to get through challenging times and emerge stronger. We can help your family instill healthy behaviors and skills to overcome emotional problems.

Our professional counseling team can help diagnose psychiatric and emotional problems and provide the therapies your child and family need to face the future.

As part of Tanner Health System, we have access to the resources of Tanner Behavioral Health, including Willowbrooke at Tanner, the new behavioral health facility in Villa Rica opening Spring 2009.

Our Services

Under the direction of psychiatrist, your child can receive an evaluation to diagnose behavioral disorders and substance abuse issues. From there, our experiences psychiatrists will explore a range of therapies – including individual, group and family therapy – as well as medications to help children adopt the new coping skills they learn. Parents and families play a key role in helping the child, and are frequently brought in to learn about strategies that can help the whole family.
