Meet some of the newest members of our community delivered right here at Tanner.

The staff of the W. Steve Worthy Maternity Center at Tanner Medical Center Carrollton and the Maternity Center at Tanner Medical Center Villa Rica is excited to participate in this special time in your life by providing excellent, family-centered care.

Both Maternity Centers offer prenatal classes and family-centered childbirth supported by the hospitals' obstetrical staff, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, and fully-equipped newborn nurseries. At Tanner, we also combine comfort with medical expertise and enhanced technology. Mothers give birth in comfortable, home-like surroundings. Birth is a family event and fathers are encouraged to remain with the mothers from admission to discharge. The Tanner obstetrics staff takes pride in educating new mothers during their hospital stay about infant care, breastfeeding and the postpartum period.

Infant safety is always a priority of the staff of both Maternity Centers and each location has high-tech infant security systems. The Maternity Centers offer special Cesarean-section surgical suites and labor and delivery rooms with family areas. Tours for expectant mothers are provided that focus on the birthing process and on the facilities and services available.
