Brian Dill
Vice President, External Affairs, Tanner Health System
Executive Director, Tanner Medical Foundation

Brian is currently the Vice President of External Affairs for Tanner Health System and the Executive Director of the Tanner Medical Foundation in Carrollton. Prior to joining Tanner, Brian spent 17 years in corporate and industrial business development and recruitment as an economic development senior executive in several Georgia communities. Prior to that he served as a Federal and State Lobbyist for the Farm Bureau Federation.

Brian has entrepreneurial and small business startup expertise with an extensive background in corporate communications, government affairs, public policy, corporate fundraising strategy, contractual negotiations, corporate budget management and capital expansion and relocation.

Brian currently serves as Vice President of the University of Georgia Alumni Association and on the Board of Governor’s for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Georgia Telecommunications Commission under appointment from Governor Nathan Deal. A 2013 member of Leadership Georgia, Brian has served on their Board of Trustees and is a J.W. Fanning Fellow. He is a member of the Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary Club and his family attends First Baptist Church of Carrollton.

A native of Irwin County, Brian is a 1994 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Political Science and a candidate for UGA’s Executive MBA program in 2019. Brian began his career in government affairs and economic development as a volunteer on Senator Saxby Chambliss’ first campaign for Congress in 1994.

Brian is married to Carmen, the Culinary Arts Teacher for Carrollton High School and a 1995 graduate of UGA. They have one son Mason who is a 11th Grader at Carrollton High School. The Dills currently reside in Carrollton, Georgia.

 

Mary Saravia Busby
Director of Development

As Director of Development, Mary manages the Foundation team and directs the Foundation’s fundraising efforts to secure corporate and individual major, annual and planned gifts as well as grants and sponsorships. She also oversees Tanner Foundation's black tie event, The Magnolia Ball, which has become a venerated local tradition welcoming 600+ guests for a evening of dining, dancing and auction in support of a key hospital project.

Mary advances Tanner Foundation's mission via web, print, social media and video communications. She builds community relationships, crafts proposals, structures programs and supports donors in developing multi-year fund and endowment agreements to champion the patients and services of Tanner Health System.     

She leverages more than a decade of experience in strategic sales and communication from her early career in the cable industry, serving as Director of Sales Strategy for The Weather Channel and representing cable product marketing for Cox Communications. She has developed and directed integrated marketing campaigns with teams from Disney and ESPN, AMC Networks, NBC Universal and other cable industry leaders.

Mary is a graduate of Binghamton University, a top-rated public research center in New York, and was inducted into Mensa in 2002. She has earned certificates in Major Gifts (2016) and Annual Giving (2012) from the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy Madison Institute and gratuated the Tanner Leadership Institute Director's Cohort (2017.)


Janet Bradley Whitt
Donor Database Manager

Janet Bradley Whitt joined Tanner Medical Foundation in 2003, and during her tenure has performed administrative, accounting/financial, communication planning and reporting functions. Currently serving as Donor Database Manager, Janet oversees the management and integrity of the Foundation’s highly specialized donor database, The Raiser’s Edge.

Prior to joining Tanner Medical Foundation, Janet held supervisor positions in both retail and wholesale environments with experience in customer service, accounting and management.

Janet attended West Georgia College, now known as the University of West Georgia, and has earned certificates in Major Giving and Planned Giving from the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy Madison Institute. She is a current member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy. Janet and her husband, Skip, reside in rural Carroll County with their dogs and an abundance of wildlife.


Carla Maner Duncan
Development Specialist

Carla Maner Duncan is the Development Specialist for Tanner Medical Foundation, where she leads the the team’s major initiatives in support of Tanner’s Heart and Vascular services, oversees special events and collaborates with donors and organizations for community partner events. She also serves as the lead for Heartbeat, Tanner’s Employee Giving Program.

Carla holds a bachelor's in marketing from the University of West Georgia and serves on the UWG Alumni Association Board of Directors. She has earned certificates in Elements of Major Gifts and Annual Giving from the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy Madison Institute. She graduated from the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy and previously served on the Keep Carroll Beautiful board of directors. 

As a previous local business owner, she holds this community in very high esteem. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, gardening and spending time with her family. She resides in downtown Carrollton with her husband, Billy, and dog, Luci Blue.


Janet Couch
Accountant

Janet Couch serves as the Accountant for Tanner Medical Foundation. She is responsible for account reconciliation, financial reporting and preparing information for the audit and tax return of the Foundation.

She earned a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of West Georgia. Janet worked in public accounting for almost 10 years preparing tax returns and performing audit fieldwork as senior accountant at Meigs, Lowe & Darnell, CPA firm, and also in corporate accounting for more than a decade as assistant controller at Wayne Davis Concrete Company. 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and is involved in many activities in her church. Janet resides in Bremen with her husband, Dwayne, and three children, Leah, Andrew and Bethany.


Lauren Gledhill
Executive Assistant

Lauren Gledhill is the Executive Assistant at Tanner Medical Foundation where she serves as a key liaison between the Executive Director and the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, staff, donors and prospects. She supports the Foundation’s major initiatives in support of Women’s and Children’s Health, coordinates Board of Trustees, Board Committee and Campaign Committee Meetings and maintains the Foundation’s official records. Lauren has earned a Fundamentals in Resource Development certificate from the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy Madison Institute.

Lauren is a graduate of Oak Mountain Academy and holds a B.A. in Psychology from LaGrange College. While at LaGrange College, Lauren had unique fundraising opportunities including being the co-founder of Panthers Pounce on Autism, a 5K run to support Autism Speaks. Lauren has a passion for nonprofit work and a love for the Carrollton community. In her free time, Lauren enjoys a good cup of coffee, time outdoors, being active in her church, and spending time with friends and family.
