Tanner Ortho Academy

The Tanner Ortho Academy at Tanner Ortho and Spine Center is a comprehensive educational program that prepares orthopedics patients for surgery and provides them with knowledge and skills that will make their recovery go as smoothly as possible.

It is extremely important for joint replacement and spine surgery patients, as well as their caregivers, to participate in our Ortho Academy classes. By gaining this knowledge prior to your joing replacement surgery, you will have realistic expectations and enjoy a rapid, safe and successful return to the activities you love.

  • Enable you to meet a few of the staff
  • Lower your anxiety level

The topics that will be covered during Tanner Ortho Academy classes include:

  • What to discuss with your surgeon
  • What to expect at your pre-op visit
  • What to bring to the hospital
  • What to do the day before your surgery
  • What to do the morning of your surgery
