Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton
John H. Burson III, MD, Atrium

August 16, 2019  |  3:00 PM  -  4:00 PM

Pianist Jan Watts performs Broadway show tunes, golden oldies, kids’ classics, decade music, well-known television and movie themes and seasonal favorites as part of Tanner Health System’s Harmony for Healing music therapy program. Watts began piano lessons at age seven and began her first church pianist job as a pre-teen. She volunteers her musical talents at several churches and venues in the community and is a member of the Carroll Ringers hand bell choir. Watts, a 42-year resident of Carroll County, holds advanced degrees and certifications in mathematics and secondary education and is a retired high school math teacher. Her other interests include aerobics, Words with Friends, bridge, traveling, bicycling and spending time with her four precious grandchildren.

All Harmony for Healing performances are held in the John H. Burson III, MD, Atrium on the first floor of Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, facing Dixie Street, and are free to the public. Unless otherwise noted, all volunteer performers are from the west Georgia area. The music therapy program is funded through gifts to Tanner Medical Foundation. Proceeds are used to continue Harmony for Healing performances with the goal of hiring a full-time music therapist.
