"I survived cancer. What now?" Support Group

For many cancer survivors, acclimating to their "new normal" can often be challenging and even disorienting. The life of a survivor has been indelibly marked by his or her experience of coping with disease, not only physically and mentally, but also emotionally, socially and spiritually. At Tanner, we understand that our patients can benefit from meeting others with common experiences who are shaping new lives for themselves.

To that end, we invite you to join with other survivors, traveling a similar road as we read, write and discuss selections of literature and our own stories; not leaving our past behind, but making it part of the tapestry of our lives.

Join other cancer survivors the last Thursday of each month to learn the next steps in your journey. The group meets from noon to 1 p.m. at Tanner Medical Center/ Carrollton in Classroom 5 of the Health Education and Wellness Learning Center and is facilitated by Chaplain Joannah Cook. Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton is located at 705 Dixie Street in Carrollton. Map It!

To register for the “I survived cancer. What now?” support group, please contact Carole Eddleman at 770.812.5446. For more information or questions, please contact Chaplain Joannah Cook at 770.812.9461 or jocook@tanner.org
