Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton is a 202-bed acute care hospital located in Carrollton and providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. Villa Rica City Hospital joined the Tanner Health System family in 1985, becoming Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica and serving northeastern Carroll County, western Douglas County and southeastern Paulding County. In October 2003, Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica unveiled a brand new $17 million facility that features a beautiful birthing center, an expanded imaging department with MRI, high speed CT and PET scanning, a six-bed ICU, a 22-bed Medical/Surgical unit, 12 postpartum rooms and an expanded Emergency Department, all designed for patient privacy and the highest quality of health care. The impressive rotunda which marks the entrance to the new facility soars three levels and has been constructed with the capability to add an additional floor in the future.

Located in Bremen, GA, Higgins General Hospital became affiliated with Tanner Health System in 1998. The 25-bed critical access hospital recently underwent an extensive $7.5 million renovation and expansion and offers its community inpatient as well as outpatient medical services including a 24-hour Emergency Department, same-day surgery, lithotripsy, and a wide range of outpatient services.
