Breast Cancer – The Numbers

The median age for breast cancer diagnosis is 61 years.
Over 200,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer are diagnosed annually.
Approximately 40,000 women will die from breast cancer each year.

Mammography & Early Detection

Early detection of breast cancer through mammography greatly improves treatment options, the chances for successful treatment, and survival. On average, mammography will detect about 80-90% of breast cancers in women without symptoms.
