Roses Say 'Thank You' on Valentine's Day Anniversary of Heart Attack

Posted Date: 2/15/2012

David Lambert of Carrollton presents a bouquet of red roses to Rhonda Robinson, RN (left), and Georgia Bell, RN (center), who were part of the Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton emergency department team on Valentine's Day 2011 when Lambert arrived, having chest pains.

Lambert wanted to recognize the team that he credited for quickly getting him from the door of the ED to the cardiac catheterization lab, where Shazib Khawaja, MD, chief of interventional cardiology and endovascular interventions for Tanner Health System, cleared two blockages—all in only 21 minutes.

"These are the guys who got me in fast," said Lambert. "The critical thing when you are having a heart attack is the speed."
