United Community Bank’s Junior Board raised $5,780.46

The fifth annual Prance Your Paws for a Cause Dog Show raised $5,780.46 for the Expressive Art Therapy Program at Willowbrooke at Tanner. The event was held at the Villa Rica Sports Complex on Saturday, March 17, and was attended by hundreds of people and pets.

“Prance Your Paws for a Cause” Dog Show & Expo was sponsored by United Community Bank and its Junior Board of Director. The annual event features dog competitions, vendors and lots of fun.

The United Community Bank Junior Board, whose members are area high school students, dedicated proceeds from this year’s event to the Expressive Art Therapy Program at Willowbrooke at Tanner. This program uses drawing, painting and other art processes to assess and treat patients, including children and adolescents, with emotional, cognitive, physical and/or developmental needs and disorders.

Tim Warren, president at United Community Bank, Christy Loper, retail sales manager/PR for United Community Bank, and members of the United Community Bank Junior Board of Directors presented the check for $5,780.46 to Kathy Mathis, director of Tanner Medical Foundation, on April 12.
