will be reduced to one lane for entrance and exit into the emergency

have flaggers to assist traffic, and a Tanner security officer also will
be facilitating traffic in the area. Updated: Sept. 16, 2011
- Ambulance Drive reopened for through traffic during the June 18-19 weekend, making it easier to access the Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton emergency department (ED) and two parking decks. Complimentary valet parking is still available at the Dixie Street atrium and ED. Updated: June 20, 2011

- On May 24 at 8 a.m., traffic on Professional Place was reduced to one lane for several hours near where it intersects with Ambulance Drive to allow a crane to unload and set up two large diesel generators. Updated: May 17, 2011
- Beginning May 23 at 7 a.m., Ambulance Drive on the campus of Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton was closed to through traffic for four to six weeks. The drive, which runs through the Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton campus from Clinic Avenue to Dixie Street and connects those roads to Professional Place, will be closed along a stretch near the front of the Patient Services building across the street from the hospital, near the Clinic Avenue parking deck. Crews will be digging a trench across the road while they prepare to install power lines and other utilities to connect the hospital to the new power plant now under construction. - Courtesy valet service began for emergency department patients in March. The Prive’ Valet service is being overseen by Tanner Security. There is no charge to use the valet service. Tips are accepted, but are not expected. Updated: March 25, 2011
- The renovation and expansion of the hospital’s emergency department and surgical services began in early 2011 and is expected to be complete in 2013. Expanding the surgical services unit will add three new operating suites, including a new hybrid operating suite that doubles as a catheterization lab, enabling staff to offer the latest vascular procedures. The expansion will also add seven new short stay surgery rooms, allowing more access to same-day surgical procedures that now account for up to 90 percent of all surgical cases at Tanner. The hospital will also add a new suite for gastroenterology procedures. Expansion of the hospital also will add an entirely new, 32,000-square-foot emergency department, which will almost double the hospital’s emergency services capacity from 22 to 40 beds.
