Tanner Family Healthcare of Franklin Expands Services as Nicole Haynes, MD, and Cory Butzon, MD, Join Patient Care Team

Internal medicine expertise and pediatric care are coming to Heard County as Nicole Haynes, MD, and Cory Butzon, MD, join the patient care team at Tanner Family Healthcare of Franklin as the practice expands its services to meet the healthcare needs of the entire family.

Board-certified in family practice, Dr. Haynes earned her medical degree in family practice at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta and completed her internship and residency at Memorial Hospital Family Practice in Savannah. She was previously on the staff at Tanner Immediate Care in Villa Rica and served as the District 4 director for the Georgia Department of Community Health.

Dr. Butzon earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed his residency in pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia Children’s Medical Center. Before pursuing his medical degree, Dr. Butzon served as a science teacher at Spalding High School in Griffin, Ga.

Dr. Haynes and Dr. Butzon have roots in Heard County, and are proud to serve a community of which both of their spouses and families are a part.

The physicians will be assisted by a board-certified nurse practitioner, Shawna Berg, NP-C, who earned her master’s as a family nurse practitioner from Kennesaw State University.
