Tanner continues to experience tremendous growth even during this difficult economic time, with ambitious plans to expand its Carrollton campus with a new emergency department and expanded surgical services capacity, expansion to its maternity center in Villa Rica, continued growth in resources for cancer patients and much more. As other healthcare providers have struggled with reducing staff and suspending facility expansions, Tanner continues to grow.
Tanner recruited a record 22 physicians to its medical staff in 2009, bringing the number of physicians to more than 250 and the number of medical specialties to 35.
