Construction began in late 2011 on Tanner/East Alabama, a multiphase build-out starting with a 26,000-square-foot, two-story medical office building.
The facility will feature a warm, inviting lobby, walk-in care for minor medical emergencies, a primary care medical practice and space for additional services and specialties as needed.
Tanner Primary Care of Wedowee—currently the Wedowee Clinic—will relocate to Tanner/East Alabama, providing preventive and sick care for every member of the family.
Tanner/East Alabama will feature:
- Care for minor medical emergencies and a variety of other important health services
- A primary care medical practice staffed by physicians to provide sick and preventive care for the whole family
- Space for various medical specialists to rotate through, including cardiologists, oncologists, surgeons and others
