Outpatient counseling with Core services
Willowbrooke at Tanner’s outpatient counseling center in Villa Rica and Carrollton offers outpatient counseling services, including state-approved Core services that include individual, couple, family, and group outpatient therapy.
Through Core programs, Willowbrooke at Tanner offers services to children and adolescents, regardless of insurance coverage, and adults and elderly adults with a qualifying payer source. In addition, the center will offer case management services; a psychiatrist to evaluate for accurate diagnosis and medication, and to follow up with on-going psychiatric services; and a specialized nurse is available for education, support, and further assessment.

At Willowbrooke at Tanner, we are dedicated to providing a full range of services to help patients stay emotionally and behaviorally healthy while receiving treatment services close to home. Outpatient therapy services are for patients leaving inpatient care, partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient treatment or intensive family intervention. It is also for individuals who are experiencing:
- Worry, sadness and stress
- Depression and/or anxiety
- Trauma from abuse, neglect or violence
- Grief or loss
- Substance abuse/chemical dependency
- Marital difficulties
- Bipolar disorder and other psychotic disorders
- Behavioral disorders/attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Therapy services:
- Full behavioral health assessments with diagnostic impression
- Treatment planning
- Individual, group and family therapy/multi-family groups
Psychiatric and nursing services:
- Psychiatric evaluations/diagnostic evaluations
- Medication evaluation and on-going monitoring/support
- Nursing assessments, nutritional assessments, medication education and support, on-going medical/psychiatric assessment and safety planning
Case management/community support:
- Medicaid/Medicaid CMO/uninsured child and adolescent patients
- Community support specialists assist children and families with:
- Coordinating care and information among multiple agencies
- Providing education and counseling in the home
- Assessing a family’s needs and providing support in locating resources
Services are provided by:
- Licensed professional counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, licensed clinical social workers and certified addiction counselors
- Registered nurses
- Psychiatrists
- Community support specialists
Tanner Center for Behavioral Health accepts:
