Tanner Rehabilitation Services

Tanner Health System provides rehabilitation services to patients and their families in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Physical, occupational and/or speech therapy services are available to patients in the hospital following accident, stroke, or injury, or for those undergoing orthopedic surgery.

Rehabilitation made easy

Many people require continued rehabilitation after discharge from the hospital in order to regain physical abilities and to maintain their quality of life.

Tanner Health System offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy at different levels of care at all facilities, including skilled nursing, inpatient, outpatient, home health and occupational health. Rehabilitation services staff work with patients to restore, strength, mobility, balance and function after injury or illness has occurred. Individual treatment plans are developed for each patient with an emphasis on their proactive role in the recovery process.

Coordinated efforts

Physical, occupational and speech therapy services are delivered in coordination with nursing care in Tanner’s Skilled Nursing Unit, located at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton. Physical and occupational therapists, as well as speech pathologists, work with other health care providers in the home health and hospice environments.

Patients treated through Tanner’s Occupational Health program also have access to physical therapy services as a part of their treatment of work-related injuries.

You must have a referral from your physician or surgeon in order to schedule an appointment for rehabilitation services.
