Rooted in our community’s long tradition of community support, local
organizations hold fundraising events throughout the year to raise
funds for cancer patients in our community. Whether it’s Merchants Making a Difference, Choirs for Cancer sponsors or community partner
events, these “Partners in Hope” raise funds for local cancer patients
through the:
- Cancer Patient Assistance Fund
- Mammogram Assistance Fund
- Prostate Cancer Fund
- Education Fund
- Cancer Patient Care Products Fund

Sunday, Oct. 2, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Second Annual Pink-a-thon Zumbathon
Shake and Shimmy Zumba style or just watch the fashion show while the kids jump on inflatables at the Second Annual Pink-a-thon at the East Carroll gym. This high-energy event with food, door prizes and fun for the entire family, will be led by Danielle Thompson to benefit Tanner Breast Health. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Carrollton Civic Woman’s Club Salad Lunch
You won’t want to miss The Carrollton Civic Woman’s Club Salad Lunch
and Silent Auction at Carrollton First United Methodist
Church in the fellowship hall at 206 Newnan Street. Tickets are $10 and

Tuesday, Oct. 11, 6 to 8 p.m. Vintage Dress Up Party at The Nest
Dress in your favorite “vintage” outfit and join us at a Vintage Dress Up Party at The Nest, 209 Alabama Street, Carrollton. Tickets are $15
and include a Vintage Photo Booth session.
Friday, Oct. 14, 7 p.m. Volley Pink
Support Tanner Breast Health by attending Volley Pink, a special
volleyball game featuring UWG vs. Barry at 7 p.m. in the University of
West Georgia (UWG) Coliseum. At the match, UWG will honor breast cancer
survivors, have raffle prizes and free T-shirts, and much more. All UWG
volleyball events are free to see, but donations will benefit Tanner
Breast Health.
Monday, Oct. 17, 5 to 8 p.m. Chick-fil-A Carrollton Spirit Night
Support Tanner Medical Foundation during Chick-fil-A Carrollton Spirit
Night and Breast Cancer Awareness Night! Every Spirit Night Slip handed
to Chick-fil-A when a meal is purchased will mean a 15% donation to
Tanner Breast Health. Download your Merchants Making a Difference Spirit Night Slip and bring it to
Spirit Night.
Friday, Oct. 21, 7 p.m. Bremen High School Blue Out
Support the Bremen High School Interact Club’s “Blue Out” when the
Bremen Blue Devils take on the Eagles in their Homecoming game. Order
your “Blue Out” T-shirts and sweatshirts by Sept. 30, then wear them to
the game on Oct. 21 to help the Bremen Blue Devils make the tackle on
cervical cancer! T-shirt sales benefit the Cancer Patients Assistance
Fund. Complete and send the Bremen High School Blue Out order form, or contact Jessica Labbee at

Saturday, Oct. 29, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Walk in Love, a Carroll County Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness
Put on your walking shoes and support Breast Cancer Awareness at "A Walk in Love" at John Tanner State Park, sponsored by Charter Bank and Victory Tabernacle Ministries. Saturday, Nov. 5, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. West Georgia Ambulance's Annual Ruby S. Green Yard Sale
Come out and shop at one of the most anticipated local yard sales to benefit local breast cancer patients in remembrance of Ruby Sue Green.
