The Night Before Surgery
You will spend the night before surgery at home.
The night before surgery you should not have anything to eat or drink after midnight.
Do not drink any alcohol for 48 hours before surgery; it delays the emptying of the stomach.
Try not the smoke (at least cut back) for 48 hours before surgery: smoking increases anesthetic risk.
