The 21st annual Magnolia Ball—“The Bee’s Knees Bash”—will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011, on the grounds of the Richards Family Estate in Carrollton.
“Bee's Knees” is an expression that originated in the 1920s to describe something extraordinary—the ultimate. Many think bee’s knees started as the “be all and end all.” This being rather long, it was shortened to "the B's and E's," which eventually became "the bee's knees.” Regardless of its origins, you are sure to have a wonderful time at “The Bee’s Knees Bash” as we recreate the Roaring 20s, a decade of elegance, an era of prohibition and violence, a time of spirit and creativity.
So “get a wiggle on” and put on your “glad rags,” ‘cause we are “putting on the Ritz” at the 2011 Magnolia Ball!
Please join Tanner Medical Foundation in recognizing this year’s Honorary Chairs, Executive Committee and Sponsors for their helping in making the 2011 Magnolia Ball a roaring success.
For the second consecutive year, proceeds from the black-tie gala will assist with the construction of a new emergency department and an expansion of surgical services at the Tanner Medical Center/ Carrollton campus. Treatment capacity in the new emergency department will almost double while the surgical services expansion will add three new operating suites, and the short-stay unit will grow by five new rooms. This expansion continues a vision for Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton that began with the construction of the Tanner Heart and Vascular Center, which opened in 2008.
