Tanner Employees Making A Difference In Our Community
Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton’s pediatric staff Cindy Strong, RN, and Hope Velez, RN, use a TV purchased through the Heartbeat Employee Giving Program to help reduce anxiety and pain in young patients.
Every day, Tanner Health System team members make a difference by going above and beyond for the people we serve. For the past 19 years, Tanner’s Heartbeat employee-giving program has been our way of making a further difference by supporting programs and projects benefiting Tanner patients and employees.
Since the Heartbeat program began in 1993, Tanner Health System employees have supported the program through voluntary donations from their paychecks. Half of each donation supports an area of care chosen by the employee: Tanner’s Indigent Care Fund, Cancer Care Fund or General Program/Equipment Fund.
This generosity of spirit benefits both the community we serve and the community with whom we serve – fellow team members at Tanner. Fifty percent of each donation supports the Heartbeat Humanitarian Fund, assisting Tanner employees in times of crisis.
