Location: John H. Burson III, MD, Atrium
Guitarist Dylan Cornell performs a mix of American jazz standards and classical pieces as part of Tanner Health System’s Harmony for Healing music therapy program. Selections include “All of Me”, “How High the Moon”, “Autumn Leaves” and “Ode to Joy”. A graduate from the Atlanta Institute of Music, Cornell has played guitar for sixteen years. He has an extensive stylistic approach to music that has been influenced by his travels throughout the county where he performs a wide variety of genres. Cornell attributes his interest in music to his grandmother who played jazz standards when he was a toddler. All Harmony for Healing performances are held in the John H. Burson III, MD, Atrium on the first floor of Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, facing Dixie Street, and are free to the public. The music therapy program is funded through gifts to Tanner Medical Foundation. Proceeds are used to continue Harmony for Healing performances with the goal of hiring a full-time music therapist.
