The Carroll Ringers from Carrollton First United Methodist Church in Carrollton, Georgia perform as part of Tanner Health System’s Harmony for Healing music therapy program. The group, under the direction of Leslie Anderson, will perform a mixture of sacred and secular Christmas tunes. The Carroll Ringers were formed in 1981 and play at church services and community events. They also travel each year to a Handbell Festival where they learn new music and techniques with other handbell choirs. All Harmony for Healing performances are held in the John H. Burson III, MD, Atrium on the first floor of Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, facing Dixie Street, and are free to the public. The music therapy program is funded through gifts to Tanner Medical Foundation. Proceeds are used to continue Harmony for Healing performances with the goal of hiring a full-time music therapist. For more information about the program, please contact Tanner Medical Foundation at 770.812.GIFT (770-812-4438).
