The Georgia Department of Public Health’s Child Occupant Safety Project provides child safety seats and education on proper installation and use through the Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Mini Grant program.
Through this program, car seats are available for free or at a reduced cost to area residents who are income eligible. To qualify, you must be a current recipient of a government assistance program (WIC, Medicaid or PeachCare) or meet income eligibility requirements. The program is limited to one car seat per child, and parents or caregivers must attend a car seat education class to receive the seat.
