The following support groups are available for cancer survivors and supporters:
Mind Over Cancer
Mind Over Cancer is a new Tanner support group emphasizing mindful coping strategies throughout the cancer journey! Research shows that if you mentally prepare yourself to handle cancer treatment by managing stress and anxiety, you can improve your quality of life and become an active participant in your own recovery. Based on "Mindfullness-Based Cancer Recover: A Step-by-Step MBSR Approach to help You Cope With Treatment and Reclaim Your Life."
Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 5 to 6 p.m. in the conference room of the Roy Richards, Sr. Cancer Center at 165 Clinic Avenue in Carrollton. The group is open to all cancer patients and caregivers and is led by Tanner Cancer Care patient navigators. Map It!

Cancer Support Group
The Roy Richards, Sr. Cancer Center offers a support group for anyone, male or female, who has cancer of any type or who has fought cancer in the past.
Meetings are on the fourth Thursday of each month from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Horizon Bay in Carrollton. Horizon Bay is located at 530 Northside Drive in Carrollton. Map

Breast Cancer Support Group
Tanner Breast Health in Carrollton offers a support group for women who have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer or those who have dealt with it in the past.
